Cute as a Button...

These are a few pictures from the baby shower that my sister in law Stephanie, Danielle, and I held for my sister Carrie and my niece Ava. I think it turned out pretty awesome. We had a diaper cake, made edible candy buttons, baked and decorated the cake, painted and decorated flower pots, decorated a photo album, and painted and decorated photo frames for Ava's room. We had a great day and everything turned out so beautiful. It was a lot of work but it was worth it. I could not have done it without these talented and creative ladies. Thank you for all your help.

Mmmm popcorn...

These two absolutely love popcorn! They must get it from their Grandma Cihlar.

Little Mama...

Can you tell Ada is a little Mama? She likes to tease me about my big belly that I had when Baby Gunnar was inside. She thought she was so cute dressing up and pretending that she is me. What a little ham!

Princess Hair...

Ada loves getting dressed up like a princess. She says girls look beautiful when they wear dresses and have nice hair. Auntie Carrie curled Ada's hair and Ada absolutely loved it. How Auntie Carrie got Ada to sit still is beyond me as she will only sit still for a very short period of time for me. Notice how Ada also has her nails done. She is a girly girl!

A Trip to the Sioux Falls Zoo...

We took a trip to the Sioux Falls Zoo earlier this summer. We had a great day. Benjamin loves being in charge of reading the map. He will excitedly study the map and tell us which way we need to go. Gunnar enjoyed watching the ducks and geese. His eyes would open really wide and you would just see him studing them. Benjamin and Ada enjoyed looking at the animals together. They would make sure the other one was right up there and they would both look for the animals--it was too cute! Gunnar enjoyed being outside and loved being in the "kid carrier" front baby sling. He is just so happy when he is in there. Ada enjoyed feeding the goats. Benjamin enjoyed watching Ada and daddy feed the goats--there was no way he was going to stick his hand in there. Ada's big highlight and big moment was going on the Merry Go Round. She absolutely loved it! Last year she had absolutely no interest in going on it and this year that is all she could talk about. The whole time she was on it she had a huge smile on her face. Watching my three children see the zoo is an amazing experience! You never know what they are going to pick up on. These three children really do get along and watch out for one another.

Building a crib...

Since our Benjamin and Ada's crib was involved in a recall last summer we needed to get Gunnar a new crib. Benjamin and Ada decided to help daddy build baby Gunnar's crib. Aren't they doing a good job?

Bright Eyes...

Ada has bright eyes when she smiles and laughs. You often find her making funny faces and refusing to smile when you ask her too.

Fuzzy Hair...

This picture was taken on May 1, 2010. You can just start to see his little fuzzy peach fuzz. Dave likes to run his hand over Gunnar's little head and say, "what a cute little piggy."
