Trick or Treat...

Benjamin and Ada got to go trick or treating with their best friends, Quinn and Presley. It was so cute watching the four of them help each other out. Benjamin and Quinn liked holding hands while out walking. The next thing we knew Presley and Ada joined in on the hand holding fun. The kids had a great time going together and their parents enjoyed visiting with one another too. We are so lucky to have only one house in between us!

Pumpkin Carving Time...

Every Halloween Dave and I carve pumpkins with the kids. We let the kids design their pumpkins. Note Benjamin's scary mouth pumpkin with circle eyes, eyebrows, and ears. Ada's pumpkin also has ears and eyebrows and she wanted a Sponge Bob type mouth. We did the best we could to meet their request. Both the kids were very happy with their scary pumpkins.

Happy Halloween!

Any guesses as to what the kids were for Halloween? Benjamin went at Diego from "Go Diego Go" and Ada went as a bumblebee. They both love dressing up and had a hard time waiting for trick or treating time to come.

Happy Halloween!!

This year for Halloween Benjamin was a scary crocodile and Ada was docile horse. Benjamin enjoyed making Ada scared by wearing his costume and saying "chomp, chomp" at her every chance he got. Ada would run the other way crying. Benjamin would also say "chomp, chomp" instead of trick-or-treat when we went out trick-or-treating. Most people passing out candy would play along and act scared or scream and he would laugh and laugh. It was such a beautiful night to be out walking through the neighborhood.

Pumpkin Carving

Benjamin enjoyed helping me carve our pumpkins for Halloween. He liked taking out the "yucky" guts. He was so cute helping me. He would hold the pumpkin and say "come on Pumpkin--give it up (referring to the insides that he couldn't get loose or out)." Benjamin helped design the faces. He picked out triangles and circle mouth with a tongue for Ada's pumpkin and diamonds and a scary mouth for his pumpkin. He also insisted that the pumpkins have eyebrows.

Ceres Halloween Social

Shirley organized a Ceres Alumni Halloween social. She planned it with our kids in mind! She had all kinds of activities for them and plenty of food to eat! Benjamin loved painting his pumpkins. He painted one for himself and one for his sister. His pumpkin had boy colors while Ada's had girl colors on it. While he was painting Ada's pumpkin he asked if Quinn (his friend from daycare) will think it is pretty. I think I should be concerned.

Benjamin got to frost and decorate some Halloween cookies. He loves to frost and decorate with sprinkles so he was in Heaven! Ada enjoyed eating his creations! They went so fast that there was no time for pictures.

At another station was photo frame decorating. I decorating Ada's frame while Benjamin painted his own frame. He did a very good job of painting. I let him paint it himself (that way I can treasure the frame he made). I applied the stickers/decals but Benjamin directed me as to where he wanted them to go. I think the frames were a great idea and I think they turned out very cute!

There was a station with music and movies so the kids could rest. There was puzzles to put together and noodles to play with and make necklaces with.

Ada's favorite station (she did this station all day) was the snack station! There was very food imaginable to eat and it was all so good! She enjoyed meat, cheese, & crackers, fruit, veggies, cupcakes, brownies, chips, etc. The snack station was Ada's favorite station. There were even these cute disposable cups that you could make into sippy cups. Ada really liked those cups but she had a nasty habit of chewing on the lid till it broke and then she would get her milk or water all over the place.

Mommy enjoyed visiting with her Ceres sisters and getting a chance to catch up with them. It was also fun to see everyone children and to see how much they have grown! Thank you Shirley for organizing a really fun day! We enjoyed it!
