Benjamin is such a sweet big brother. Every night he will help say Ada's prayers and then he tells Ada the "Hey Diddle Diddle" riddle. Both kids have always liked this riddle and this riddle is/was the only thing that would help settle them down. It is so sweet to watch Benjamin say Ada's prayers and to listen to him say her riddle.

The City Park

Grandma & Grandpa were watching Benjamin & Ada's cousins for a few days so they decided to come up for a visit. Benjamin and Ada were a little shy at first but after some pizza and watermelon everyone was ready to go and play at the park. Benjamin, Hannah, and Harper had a great time playing together and following one another around. They loved the "merry go round" and played on that for so long that I couldn't watch them anymore or I would become ill. How they could stand or even walk in a straight line was beyond me. Benjamin has always been a climber and he enjoyed showing off his climbing skills at the park. Well, the girls played follow the leader and had to climb up (with some help from Grandma and myself) also. I couldn't resist taking a picture of the kids and grandma up on top of the "spider web".

Push and Pedal

See Ada really did enjoy herself! She kept that smile on her face the whole time while she was riding on that little car.
She Walks!!
Ada has been creeping along furniture since she was 8 months old. She took her first solo steps when she was 9 months old (almost 10 months) and now she official walks. Okay, she really totters along but she is getting more stable and faster on her feet every day! She is a little stinker though as I keep trying to make a movie of her walking and she will immediately stop and drop to her knees. I know the move is short but I finally caught her walking for a few seconds on film. She thinks she is big stuff when she walks.

Being Silly and Having No Fear
Benjamin and his cousin Harper are two little daredevils. They both had a lot of fun together and one would encourage the other to have no fear.

Benjamin Bowling
We have been going a little stir crazy with the weather being so cold lately that we have been trying to come up with different games to play with and different activities to do. Well we broke out baby bowling. Benjamin devised a new way to play the game. Line them up along the wall and hold onto the ball and say "roll" as you are knocking them down. He would play for hours like this; setting them up and knocking them down, setting them up and knocking them down, etc. He also liked to tell us the colors of the pins and what animal each one was. He would then connect color and animal. We are working on teaching him to count them. He can count beyond ten but we are trying to work on how many the respective number is. He understands one and two but we are working on the others.

Horsing Around
As you can tell from the above video, my kiddos enjoy horsing around with one another. Benjamin loves giving Ada "horsie rides". He will also pretend that he is a cow, puppy, goat, and a chicken. If you couldn't tell he has quite the imagination! Whether or not you want to believe it, Ada is almost always a willing participant for Benjamin. You can usually find her smiling or giggling when Benjamin is entertaining her. These two go together like two peas in a pod! There is never a dull or boring day here. We always go to bed exhausted around here--I bet you can't guess why!
