"Smile Big"

Whenever we ask Benjamin to smile or smile big for a picture he will scrunch up his little face for the photo. Dave was reading to the kids and I just couldn't resist taking a picture. Both Dave and Benjamin saw my camera and decided to "smile big" for the picture.

Happy Anniversary

We celebrated four years of marriage on April 17. We both cannot believe that it has been four years already! Where did the time go? It feels like we just were planning our wedding and here we are four years later. Dave and I have shared a lot of good times the last few years and have also been through a lot together. It's great being married to someone who loves, respects, and supports me. Dave has been a great help with our children and in the house. He also takes great care of his hedges. We enjoy spending time with one another and with our children. We have had four great years together and I anticipate many more to come. I love you honey!!

All Gone, Mom!

As you can see, Benjamin loves his spaghetti and spaghettio O's. In fact he loves anything with tomatoes in it, whether it is sauce, salsa, or whole or cut-up tomatoes. Benjamin has always been a very good eater. He loves his fruits and vegetables and lately he has gotten into eating meat. Dave would call him his little vegetarian. He will now eat his meat first and then his fruits and vegetables and cheese. Although, he has never really liked bread. He will take a bite of his sandwich, toast, or bread but thats all you get from him. Except if it is banana bread, pumpkin bread, etc. then he will eat it all up. One time when I made pumpkin bread (my favorite) with my pampered chef mini loaf pan (which I absolutely love) Benjamin got a hold of one of the mini loaves and picked it up like it was a brownie and just started to eat the whole loaf. What he didn't eat his cows and horses did!

Ada's First Sippy Cup

This picture was Ada's first time using a sippy cup. (Doesn't she look like a big girl?) She did really well with using her cup. Since all things go straight to her mouth she figured out how to use the cup pretty easily. Since Ada is only 6 months old the Easter Bunny decided to bring her some Winnie the Pooh sippy cups as they are "both usable and practical". If anyone has seen Benjamin's old sippy cups you know it was time to throw them out! He had Diego cups that the design had worn off of but he still insisted that he had to use them and he continued to all these cups his "Diego cups" even though you could not see any signs of these cups ever having had a design.

That Crazy Car!

Benjamin showing Ada how to drive and operate the car

Ada decided that she had enough fun and wanted out

The seatbelt invention!

Benjamin has always enjoyed playing in grandma and grandpa C's coopala car so this past weekend was no exception. This time Benjamin and aunt Carrie devised a seatbelt to use in the car. It was so cute watching Carrie and Benjamin play together. Benjamin would always make sure the seatbelt was fasten so he could "drive" his car. If he forgot about fastening his seatbelt aunt Carrie would remind him. I don't know who was having more fun, Benjamin or auntie Carrie! Benjamin decided that Ada needed to play with him also so she got her first ride in the car. She had a pretty good time but I think Benjamin enjoyed himself more!

Easter 2008

We spent Easter 2008 with my side of the family at my parent's place in Glenwood, MN. We had a good time eating, visiting, and more eating! The sugar cookies that Benjamin and I made were a hit. I also brought along Rice Krispie Bars and a Pistachio Bundt Cake. Trust me, no one left hungry.
It was fun seeing my sister Carrie and her husband Matt, my brother Craig and his fiance Stephanie, my brother Colin, and my parents. Corey decided not to come home due to a "final" that he needed to study for. It's getting rarer and rarer that we are all home at the same time any more. Needless to say, Benjamin kept his aunt, uncles, and grandparents entertained and busy!

He enjoyed playing with grandma and grandpa's puzzles and reading books. When we left SD we had no snow here (there was a little beside the road, and here and there but no real snow covering). Except for our front yard which looks like a no-till farmer (slow to melt snow and warm up). When we got to MN they had snow everywhere. Uncle Craig greeted us with a snowman that he made.
