Benjamin and Ada got to go trick or treating with their best friends, Quinn and Presley. It was so cute watching the four of them help each other out. Benjamin and Quinn liked holding hands while out walking. The next thing we knew Presley and Ada joined in on the hand holding fun. The kids had a great time going together and their parents enjoyed visiting with one another too. We are so lucky to have only one house in between us!Tuesday, November 3, 2009
Trick or Treat...
Benjamin and Ada got to go trick or treating with their best friends, Quinn and Presley. It was so cute watching the four of them help each other out. Every Halloween Dave and I carve pumpkins with the kids. We let the kids design their pumpkins. Note Benjamin's scary mouth pumpkin with circle eyes, eyebrows, and ears. Ada's pumpkin also has ears and eyebrows and she wanted a Sponge Bob type mouth. We did the best we could to meet their request. Both the kids were very happy with their scary pumpkins.Friday, October 23, 2009
It's a Butterfly Hunt...
South Dakota State Fair...

Dave, Benjamin, and Ada came to visit me at the South Dakota State Fair. I looked forward to seeing them and checking out the sites as a family. Ada loves/loved anything to do with animals so anytime an animal was near it had her attention. Benjamin loved going on rides (see the post below) and could have cared less if he saw any sites at the fair (except for the rides). In order to allow both kids to enjoy themselves Dave and I decided it would be easier to go our separate ways with each kid and then meet back up. Can you believe my hands-on animal girl? She sure has come a long way! She used to be so shy and scared of animals and now she wants to man handle them! We had a good time and as Benjamin would say, "we were so exhausted."
