Spending Time With Grandma and Grandpa C...

Benjamin and Ada love spending time with their Grandma and Grandpa. They also love being outside and exploring the farm. Ada's favorite thing is to ride on the 4 wheeler with Grandpa. She just can't get enough of it as she is always telling Grandpa to go faster. I can't believe she is my daughter as you won't catch me on one of those things--I can't handle the speed, etc.

These were taken at Easter time. I know, I know it is July but like I said earlier I am behind and trying to catch up! Ada can be quite the goof when it comes to taking pictures with the family and these pictures are no exception!

Neighborhood Egg Hunt...

This past Easter our neighbors organized a neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Benjamin and Ada were so excited to go on their egg hunt with all their friends. Benjamin knew what to do and was "super fast" at finding eggs. Ada, on the other hand, was very shy and took a while to warm up to the idea of hunting for eggs in the neighbors' backyards. Once she got into it she gave it her all! The kids had a great time. We have some of the best neighbors a person could ask for! The big kids stepped right in and helped the little kids find the eggs. Once all the little kids found the eggs they then hid them for the big kids to find. It was a hoot to watch!

Circus Time!!

Between juggling the kids, cleaning house, doing laundry, and working I have not had the time nor the energy to work on my blog. I am really going to try harder to update more regularly but man finding time to work on the blog has not been easy lately. Anyhow, I have a few older posts that I have been meaning to share. It's been awhile ago already but we took all three kids to the circus. Benjamin and Ada absolutely loved it! Benjamin remembered quite a bit about the circus from last year and Ada was very intrigued. Gunnar was a wonderful baby during the circus. Those kid carriers are so wonderful! He was able to stay snuggled up to me the entire time. He only stirred once and that was when he wanted to eat. Otherwise, he was very content hanging out with me. We didn't want to bring the carseat inside as there really isn't that much room to put it any where so the kid carrier worked great as I was able to have my arms free to help the other two kids.

As you can see, Benjamin has my love for cotton candy. Ada does too--I just didn't get it captured on camera. Other than cotton candy and popcorn the elephants were the kids' favorite animal at the circus. Dave was very impressed with the contortionist. I am not real sure how a human being can even do that.

We bought the reserved seating tickets. They are double the price as general admission but oh, so worth it! We had great seats, were close to the bathroom, and could actually see! Benjamin and Ada are already making plans for next year. We hope to see you at the circus!

Gunnar's 4 Month Baby Well Check...

Where does the time go? Gunnar had his 4 month baby well visit on May 25, 2010. He weighed 17 lbs 5 oz (97 %) and was 26 inches long (95 %). His head measured 16 1/4 inches (50 %).

He is a very relaxed, happy go lucky baby. He has officially out grown the colic (he started up with colic when he was 6 weeks old and he had it for 8 weeks). It was a very exhausting time but Gunnar is the kind of baby that makes you want more. He is just so cute, cuddly, and loving! I can't picture our family any other way.

He started rolling over from his tummy to his back on May 7, 2010 and he started rolling over from his back to his belly on June 8, 2010. He smiles all the time and is very vocal. He loves to hear himself talk! Of our three children, he is the drooler of the family! I did not know that a little boy could be so wet all the time. His bibs are drenched and the same goes for his clothes, blankets, and burp cloths. Not only is he a drooler but he loves to chew on his clothes, burp cloths, and blankets. He still spits up but nearly as much or as frequent. His biggest issue is that he has a tendency to gag himself with his fingers and hand. He is always chewing on them and tends to put them in his mouth a little too far.
