Guess who went to the dentist? Yep, it was Benjamin. I picked him up from daycare and he had the biggest smile on his face. He said he was a school kid and could go to the dentist and not cry. When they called his name he walked right in and sat down on the chair. He was a little apprehensive at first about the "bib" being put on him but he got over that very quickly. He got to see how each of the tools worked before they started using them. He sat down like a big boy and opened his mouth and let the hygenist clean them. He has a very curious tongue! It didn't matter what tooth she was cleaning--his tongue was right there trying to check it out. Same with the dentist when he came to count his teeth and to take a look at them. The picture was taken at the dentist's office because Benjamin was/is part of the no cavity club. He was so excited to get his picture taken and to hang it on the wall next to all the other kids. Before he left they (the dentist's office) loaded him up with stuff. He got a new toothbrush, a dino flosser, a timer, a toy that he got to pick out, sticker, and a gift certificate to Pizza Ranch. Also, apparently all the no cavity kids are entered into a monthly drawing for a Barnes and Nobles gift card. Guess who also won that? Yep, Benjamin did. Dave and I are in shock as we have entered hundreds of drawings/raffles and have yet to win. And here our son is entered into a drawing which none of us knew anything about and he won. He is pretty excited to go to the bookstore to pick out a new book that he wants. Lucky guy! Dave and I are in disbelief over how fast Benjamin is growing up! It seems like we just brought him home from the hospital and here we are taking him to the dentist for a check-up.
